RESORT OVERVIEW

"Mosey over" to Alligator Bayou and discover its rustic architecture, front porches and meandering walkways. A stocked fishing hole, country-style pool, flowered fields and two-story cottages create the nostalgic romance of down-home charm. All guests of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside (formerly Dixie Landings) are welcome to use the services and amenities of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarters as well.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside has a combination of the classic grand plantation mansions and country bayou villages with a total of 2,048 guest rooms. There are four mansion style buildings and 16 bayou, all connected by bridges to the Ol' Man Island pool and fishing area. The Sassagoula River winds through the resort. In the Alligator Bayou, you'll find 2-story, Cajun-style brick or stucco lodges with tin roofs, wide front porches and rough hewn railings similar to those found in the rural bayou regions of southern Louisiana. These are set amidst dense moss-hung pine forests and creeks.

Check-In is at 3PM and Check-out is at 11AM. If arriving earlier than 3PM, you may go ahead and "check-in". A room will be assigned, and you will be given a Key (card) with a phone number to call after 3PM to get your room number.You can leave your luggage with the Bell Service, they will store it until your room is ready. And your free to go ahead and start enjoying the Parks.

    All Disney owned Resorts are Non-Smoking. This ban includes smoking on balconies/patios. Each Resort has designated outdoor smoking areas.

    A $250 - $500 (plus tax) 'Room Recovery Fee' will be assessed for smoking in a guest room/balcony/patio.

Motor coach / Bus Transportation to the Theme Parks, Water Parks and Downtown Disney®
  • Ferryboat - Take flat-bottomed boat ride to the Downtown Disney® Marketplace area. Boats leave the dock approximately every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and after 4, every 15 minutes until 11:30 p.m.
  • To reach any of the other Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels you will need to take a Bus or Ferryboat to Downtown Disney® and transfer to a Bus going to the Resort you want to visit.
  • If you decided to drive, parking is free at any of the Theme Parks, for resort guest only.
